Spicy Peanut Sauce

 

  I love this sauce with Tempeh,
fresh spring rolls, vegetables or rice.
 

 

Ingredients:

  • 100-150 grams peanut butter about 1/2 cup
  • 1 small thumb ginger chopped
  • 1/4 tsp ceyanne powder or even better 1 fresh chilli pepper seeded and chopped
  • 1 clove garlic chopped (optional)
  • fish sauce (optional, if used: use half fish sauce and half shoyu)
  • shoyu to taste
  • rice syrup to taste
  • lemon juice to taste
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric powder and 1 tsp cumin (more Indonesian flavour) OR 2 stalks lemongrass, tender part only, chopped (more Thai flavour)
  • enough water for desired consistency
 

Instructions:

Blend all ingredients until smooth!

This sauce if great with fresh Vietnamese spring rolls or fried Tempeh skewers...
