Spicy Peanut Sauce
I love this sauce with Tempeh,
fresh spring rolls, vegetables or rice.
Ingredients:
- 100-150 grams peanut butter about 1/2 cup
- 1 small thumb ginger chopped
- 1/4 tsp ceyanne powder or even better 1 fresh chilli pepper seeded and chopped
- 1 clove garlic chopped (optional)
- fish sauce (optional, if used: use half fish sauce and half shoyu)
- shoyu to taste
- rice syrup to taste
- lemon juice to taste
- 1/2 tsp tumeric powder and 1 tsp cumin (more Indonesian flavour) OR 2 stalks lemongrass, tender part only, chopped (more Thai flavour)
- enough water for desired consistency
Instructions:
Blend all ingredients until smooth!
This sauce if great with fresh Vietnamese spring rolls or fried Tempeh skewers...
