What About Bread
In general if we want to strengthen our health and improve our condition it is best to cut down on bread. Bread has the tendency to make our bodies more hard and stiff so if we want to change our condition it is important to get our body into a relaxed flexible state.
When we eat bread we should choose whole grain sourdough bread rather then yeast bread. Yeast is grown on sugar, so when the yeast bread gets to our intestines it tends to just block us up and is not very easy for our bodies to digest.
The bacteria in sourdough bread actually help our body break down and digest the bread which makes sourdough a far wiser choice.
Another tip is to try steaming your sourdough bread instead of toasting. Steaming gives your bread a fresh moist texture and is easier to digest and less contracting for the body. Simply place sliced sourdough bread in a steamer for a few minutes and enjoy!
White bread is an empty food missing: 96% of Vitamin E, 78% of Dietary Fibre, 72% of Magnesium, 62% of Zinc, 50% of Folic Acid, 72% of Chromium, 78% of Vitamin, B-6 plus phytochemicals compared with wholegrain sourdough bread.
These missing nutrients are important to our bodies for immune function, cell communication, appetite control, preventing "free radicals", fetal brain development, plus 500 other functions!
