Let's Forget about Counting Calories
Many people are overweight because the foods they eat are either full of unhealthy saturated fats or because they are simply not giving their bodies the nutrients they need.
When you eat foods that are nutritionally empty, like white bread, white rice, white pasta and white sugar your body's first step is to take the vitamins and minerals it needs out of your tissues and bones in order to create a whole food that your body can digest.
Further, when you eat 'empty' foods your body tends to store them as fat, but when you eat whole nutritious foods your body simply assimilates the nutrients it needs and discharges the rest.
So ironically people who appear overweight are often just nutritionally starved and when they start replacing 'empty" foods with natural whole foods their bodies are able to drop excess weight, and they have even more energy!
