Crunchy Granola

This Makes a delicious crunchy sweet breakfast treat or use it to make stewed fruit into a great dessert.

For example cook apples with apple juice, raisins and a pinch of sea salt, then add lemon zest and thicken with kuzu. Top the apples with some Crunchy granola and enjoy!

 

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups rolled oats
  • 4 cups lightly roasted chopped walnuts or any other nuts
  • 2 cups dried apricots cut in quarters
  • 1 cup rice syrup
  • 4 Tbls barley malt
    or maple syrup - for a sweeter taste
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup corn oil or
    deoderised sunflower oil
  • 6 drops essential oil of orange combined with the oil
  • 1-2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients
  2. Spread on baking tray and

    bake at 180c or 350f for
    15-20 minutes - until golden brown.

  3. Stir every 5 minutes.
