This Makes a delicious crunchy sweet breakfast treat or use it to make stewed fruit into a great dessert.
For example cook apples with apple juice, raisins and a pinch of sea salt, then add lemon zest and thicken with kuzu. Top the apples with some Crunchy granola and enjoy!
- 8 cups rolled oats
- 4 cups lightly roasted chopped walnuts or any other nuts
- 2 cups dried apricots cut in quarters
- 1 cup rice syrup
- 4 Tbls barley malt
or maple syrup - for a sweeter taste
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 1 cup corn oil or
deoderised sunflower oil
- 6 drops essential oil of orange combined with the oil
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
- Combine all ingredients
- Spread on baking tray and
bake at 180c or 350f for
15-20 minutes - until golden brown.
- Stir every 5 minutes.
